As the days start getting shorter and summer comes to a close, we’re already reminiscing about autumns of years past and all of the incredible events we’ve crafted and made a mess at.
Fall 2022 will be our first year getting back to celebrating with everyone in-person since before the pandemic, and we could not be more excited!
One of our all-time favorite autumn events we’ve ever crafted at was actually our last big autumn event before the pandemic: the Fall Market at the Tesla & SpaceX campus in October 2019. We had no idea it would be the last for such a long time, and boy, did we have a blast!
We made beautiful Mini Fall Wreaths with our signature Makers Mess Wreath Bar and custom Wood Burned Coasters on natural cut birch rounds!
It was so fun to celebrate and craft with such young, brilliant employees, none of which had experience with wood burning. It was such a cool experience to teach people who have worked with or seen soldering irons before how to use these tools in new ways to create personalized mementos.
Both crafting options were a feast for the senses: the sharp, fresh scents of pines and florals mixing with the smoky aroma of wood burning; vibrant luscious greens; and the memory-making of crafting with fabulous company.
We are so looking forward to getting crafty with everyone this season as we burst back into the fall and holiday seasons in a big way! What will you be making this season?
Looking for ways to get your autumn on?
These are our favorite autumn crafts:
- Wood burning - You just can’t beat that delicious smoky scent
- Candle making - Whether you opt for rolled beeswax candles or classic poured, there’s nothing like a personal little flame to accompany the days getting colder and shorter
- Anything and everything pumpkin - From creating our own little pumpkin patch at the Studio or going out to companies for pumpkin decorating crafts, we want more pumpkins please!
- Spooky crystal balls - A Mini Makers Halloween fave!
Looking forward to making new crafty memories with you this fall!
See you at the Studio,
The Makers Mess Team
