How about making your own pair of sandals? In this class led by Rachel Corry, we’ll explore every step of the sandal-making process, starting off by customizing trusted patterns to suit your own feet and design preferences. Then we’ll cut and assemble the leather pieces, paying close attention to fit and attach to a cushiony rubber sole that will pick up the curves of your sole in no time.
Rachel will have a selection of leathers to choose from: natural, dark, and a color! This class is hard work: be prepared to use utility knives, adhesive, hammers, wooden mallets, shoe anvils, and to get barefoot!
Snacks will be provided and we'll take a lunch break at 1p. Don't forget to pack your lunch!
Please enroll by 10/25 to ensure your spot in the workshop!
