What We’re Doing:  Go Dada for ‘dada’ on Father’s Day! In this workshop, you will be introduced to decoupage techniques and draw inspiration from Dada artist Hannah Hoch. Create a one-of-a-kind gift for the Dad in your life or your very own collage masterpiece on a wooden canvas. Collage packets will be available along with loads of other paper ephemera. No experience is needed except a desire to decoupage. Recommended for ages 12 and up.

ABOUT THE ARTIST:

California-born and bred, Laura Henneforth is a collagist who experiments with watercolor, printmaking, and colored pencil. Her collages focus on the female body, abstract in form and environment. A 2005 graduate of Cal Poly Pomona’s fine art program, Laura cites Mexican Muralism and German Expressionism as some of the springboards of her inspiration. As a member of the Pasadena Society of Artists, her works have been displayed in shows throughout the Southern California area. In 2016 her first solo show ‘Singular, Plural, Multiple’ was hosted by the Gilb Museum of Arcadia Heritage followed in 2018 with a second solo show ‘Ephemeral Paths’ at Alhambra City Hall. She is a member of the Speaker’s Bureau for the Gilb Museum of Arcadia Heritage and conducts collage workshops for Remainders Creative Reuse in Pasadena, California.
