What We’re Doing: Rubber stamps are fun to use on handmade cards, packaging, and a plethora of crafts. This hands-on workshop will teach students how to carve their own rubber stamps. We’ll cover the basics of creating a design, transferring it to the rubber, carving with the lino tool, and printing on some blank cards and envelopes. Great for beginners who want to create simple patterns on paper crafts or those who are ready for the challenge of carving more complex designs like text. I’ll show you all my tips and tricks! All materials will be provided and students will get to take their stamp to print more at home!
Meagan Osborne is a professional artist and teacher specializing in printmaking. In 2008, her company Brown Pigeon hatched from an idea to print stationery with her hand-carved stamps. Soon after starting the company, Meagan began taking custom orders for stamps and it wasn’t long before she gained recognition for her complex carvings that were being commissioned by companies all over the world. At this point, she estimates that she's carved over 10,000 stamps! She has authored a DIY craft book, Put Your Stamp On It, sold at national craft shows like Renegade Craft Fair, and offers classes on CreativeLIVE. She loves helping others tap into their creative side through ink, paper, and experimentation.
Please note: In the interest of keeping our creative community safe & well as we navigate the pandemic, we are requiring proof of vaccination or a negative test result dated within 48 hours of the workshop date for all class participants, instructors, and staff.
