Stacy Zink became interested in textiles at a young age and was reconstructing garments by age 9. A love of dying and surface design soon followed. Throughout her career, she worked for various designers, dying, weaving and sewing until she began exhibiting her own work and showing at national shows through the American Craft Council in 2005.
Due to the time consuming nature of this work, Stacy’s focus shifted after becoming a mother to hand work which she can do almost anywhere. It was through these constrains and a desire to conserve that her love of sashiko and boro techniques was born!
